It all started with a gift for my mom. Not just any giftā€”a custom keepsake that included her first grandbaby, my son. Iā€™m the sentimental type (I keep everything), but my mom? Not so much. So, I wanted to make something she could actually wearā€”something that would mean something every time she put it on. That single, heartfelt stitch spiraled into a much bigger idea.

A Business Born From Baby Snuggles and Big Dreams

As maternity leave ticked down and my husband kept working away from home, I started dreaming bigger. What if this little embroidery project could become something more? Something that kept him home, let me keep creating, and brought other people a bit of joy stitched into fabric?

And just like that, CustomšŸISH was born. A love letter to family, memory, and doing things differently.

I didnā€™t want to slap stitches on just anything. Fast fashion? No thanks. Excessive textile waste? Also no. Every piece we make uses ethically made Canadian garments and repurposed fabric because we can do better, and we should.
